'The Rundown' Gets February Blu-ray Release[teaser]Announcing its latest "catch-up" title for Blu-ray, Universal has set a mid-February release for 'The Rundown.'[/teaser] The action thriller, which stars Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, previously made its high-def bow on HD DVD back in late 2006. Universal will debut the Blu-ray on February 10. Tech specs will feature a BD-50 dual-layer presentation with 1080p video and a DTS-HD Lossless Master Audio 5.1 Surround track. 'Highlander' to Make Blu-ray Debut this February[teaser]In an exclusive online offer, Legendary Heroes says it plans to release the complete first season of 'Highlander' in a Blu-ray box set due this February.[/teaser] The first-ever domestic high-def release of the cult TV series, 'Highlander: Season One,' the set is being distributed via the official Highlander website (www.legendaryheroes.com), although it would seem that the site's distribution rights to the series are limited to direct sales. Beginning this week, Legendary Heroes has begun to take pre-orders for the 'Highlander: Season One' Blu-ray box set , with an "anticipated street date" of February 15. Though full tech specs are still forthcoming, the collection will contain all 22 episodes of the show's first season presented in remastered 1080p video. Warner Readying 'Quo Vadis' for Blu-ray Battle[teaser]The historical classic 'Quo Vadis' is coming to high-def, with Warner announcing a mid-March Blu-ray release for a newly-remastered version of the epic drama.[/teaser] Starring Robert Taylor and Deborah Kerr, and featuring a cast of thousands, the lavish religious spectacle has gone through a meticulous photochemical restoration as well as a soundtrack upgrade restoring the original music by famed composer Miklos Rozsa.
