Echo Bridge Unleashes "BluCube" Box Sets for Blu-ray[teaser]Echo Bridge is boxing up its entire next-gen library, with plans to offer 10-disc and 20-disc Blu-ray box set collections this November.[/teaser] The indie distributor began releasing low-priced Blu-ray titles earlier this year, and has so far amassed a twenty-strong catalog that consumers will now be able to conveniently pick up on November 18 in two different affordable collections. The 'BluCube (10 Pack)' contains: '10.5 Apocalypse: The Complete Miniseries,' 'Artie Lange's Beer League,' 'Blackbeard,' 'The Big White,' 'Category 7: The End Of The World,' 'The Curse Of King Tut's Tomb,' 'Final Days of Planet Earth,' 'Mortuary,' 'Mysterious Island' and 'The Poseidon Adventure.' The 'BlueCube (20 Pack)' features all the titles in the 10 Pack, plus ten more hits: 'Angel in the Family,' 'The Colt,' 'Cruel World,' 'The Final Patient,' 'The Last Sentinel,' 'Salem Witch Trials,' 'Salvage,' 'Supernova,' 'The Ten Commandments,' and 'The Woods Have Eyes.' All discs are identical to the stand-alone versions, and there are no additional extras or collectibles included. Suggested retail price for the 10 Pack is $79.99, and $149.99 for the 20 Pack. Fox Sets Specs for 'Home Alone,' 'Jingle All the Way' Blu-rays[teaser]Fox has officially announced the holiday pair of 'Home Alone' and 'Jingle All the Way,' for December Blu-ray release, both of which will hit high-def with multiple bonus features.[/teaser] Giving retailers an early alert last week, Fox set a December 2 street date for the Macaulay Culkin blockbuster and the Arnold Schwarzenegger family farce, though they stopped short on issuing any specifics. Just-confirmed specs will see each release receive a BD-50 dual-layer presentation with 1080p/AVC MPEG-4 video and English DTS-HD Lossless Master Audio 5.1 Surround audio. First Look to Bring 'Way of War' to Blu-ray[teaser]First Look has set an early-February arrival for the action-thriller 'The Way of War.'[/teaser] Little is known about the Cuba Gooding Jr.-starrer, which sees him playing a paramilitary operative who goes on a rampage after discovering a war conspiracy. Universal Outlines 'Mummy' Blu-ray Specs, Exclusives[teaser]Universal has officially unveiled final specs for 'The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor' which hits Blu-ray this December as a two-disc set with exclusive content.[/teaser] As we've previously reported, the studio alerted retailers to a December 16 Blu-ray date for the $100 million--plus grossing sequel, though the studio provided only preliminary specs. The full details have now been confirmed, with the studio planning a two-disc set with U-Control and BD-Live exclusives. Extras will feature audio commentary with director Rob Cohen, a suite of featurettes ("The Making of The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor," "From City to Desert," "Legacy of the Terra Cotta," "A Call to Action: The Casting Process," "Preparing for Battle with Brendan Fraser and Jet Li," "Jet Li: Crafting the Emperor Mummy," "Creating New and Supernatural Worlds"), deleted and extended scenes, and a Digital Copy of the film.
