[/teaser] In an early announcement retailers, Scream Factory will be releasing 'The Slumber Party Massacre' on Blu-ray on March 18. An eighteen-year-old high school girl is left at home by her parents and she decides to have a slumber party. There is friction between some of the invited guests and the new girl, who is better at basketball than they, so the new girl decides to stay at home (which is conveniently across the street from the host's house). Meanwhile, a murderer of five people with a propensity for power tools has escaped and is at large, and eventually makes his way to the party, where the guests begin experiencing an attrition problem, with only the new girl to help them. Specs and supplements have yet to be revealed, but suggested list price for the Blu-ray is $29.93. 'The Shadow: Collector's Edition' Blu-ray Announced[teaser]The Shadow strikes again in a Collector's Edition Blu-ray in February. [/teaser] In an early announcement retailers, Shout Factory is preparing 'The Shadow: Collector's Edition' for Blu-ray on February 25. Alec Baldwin stars as Lamont Cranston, alias The Shadow, in this big screen adaptation of the popular 1930s radio series. Once a gangster himself, Cranston now uses his special powers of invisibility for the collective good, waging a war against his arch-foe, the criminal mastermind Shiwan Khan (John Lone). Kahn has kidnapped the scientist father of the beautiful Margo Lane (Penelope Ann Miller), built an atom bomb, and threatened to destroy New York City unless a large ransom is paid. Can Cranston locate Kahn's secret headquarters and defuse the bomb or is it bye-bye to the Big Apple? In 'More Than Honey,' filmmaker Markus Imhoof tackles the vexing issue of why bees, worldwide, are facing extinction. With the tenacity of a man out to solve a great mystery, he investigates this global phenomenon, from California to Switzerland, China and Australia. Exquisite macro-photography of the bees (reminiscent of Microcosmos) in flight and in their hives reveals a fascinating, complex world in crisis.
