Joss Whedon's action/adventure based on the Marvel Comics team of superheroes features an all-star cast including Robert Downey Jr., Samuel L. Jackson, Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth, Mark Ruffalo, Scarlett Johansson, and Jeremy Renner. 'A Separation' Announced for Blu-ray[teaser]Asghar Farhadi's Academy Award-winning foreign drama will debut on Blu-ray in August. [/teaser] In an early announcement to retailers, Sony has slated 'A Separation' for Blu-ray on August 21. Simin (Leila Hatami) wants to leave Iran with her husband Nader (Peyman Moadi) and daughter Termeh (Sarina Farhadi) and sues for divorce when Nader refuses to leave behind his Alzheimer-suffering father (Ali-Asghar Shahbazi). Her request having failed, Simin returns to her parents' home but Termeh decides to stay with Nader. When Nader hires a young woman to assist with his father in his wife's absence, he hopes that his life will return to a normal state. However, when he discovers that the new maid has been lying to him, he realizes that there is more on the line than just his marriage. 'Dial M for Murder - 3D' Blu-ray Pre-Orders Now Live![teaser]Alfred Hitchcock's 1954 thriller comes to Blu-ray 3D in October and pre-orders are now available! [/teaser] As previously reported, Warner Brothers has set 'Dial M for Murder - 3D' for a Blu-ray 3D release on October 9. The film about a man who plots to murder his wife stars Ray Milland, Grace Kelly and Robert Cummings and is currently ranked #194 on IMDb.com's Top 250. According to WHV's Executive Vice President and General Manager of Theatrical Catalog, Jeff Baker, "Given the current trend toward 3D, we're delighted to be releasing this authentic classic 3D. This is not a conversion from 2D to 3D, but an original work, with a big tip of the cap to MPI, that illustrates just how good 3D can be. Horror icon Peter Cushing ('Horror of Dracula') stars as Detective Inspector Quennell, brought in to investigate the deaths. He consults entomology professor Mallinger (Robert Flemyng), but the doctor seems to be hiding a dark secret about his fetching young daughter, Clare (Wanda Ventham). The deeper Quennell digs into their story, the bloodier the violence, until he discovers a terrifying truth about Mallinger's experiments that is only revealed in the gruesome final reel.
