[/teaser] In an early announcement to retailers, Warner Brothers has revealed Zack Snyder's animated feature 'Legend of the Guardians: The Owls of Ga'Hoole' will be swooping to high-definition and onto Blu-ray 3D on December 17. The film is based on the first three books in the series by Kathryn Lasky and stars the voices of Helen Mirren, Sam Neill, Geoffrey Rush, Hugo Weaving, and many more! The release will be a Blu-ray/DVD/Digital Copy combo pack with 1080p video, a DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 soundtrack, and supplements include: True Guardians of the Earth and Looney Tunes Short "Fur of Flying" (in 3D on Blu-ray 3D). [/teaser] Sony Music has announced 'Beyoncé's I Am...World Tour' for a high-definition release on December 7. The world tour supporting Beyoncé'S third solo album (which won a record-smashing six Grammy Awards) ran from March 2009 to February 2010 and this Blu-ray includes performances of over twenty #1 hits culled from various shows from around the world. [/teaser] 20th Century Fox's 'Machete' looks to be coming to Blu-ray on January 4. 'The Town' Blu-ray Announced[teaser]Ben Affleck will painting your town Blu just before Christmas! Rest easy, we're not talking about 'Reindeer Games...' [/teaser] In an early announcement to retailers, Warner Brothers says the critically-acclaimed crime thriller 'The Town' co-starring Rebecca Hall, John Hamm, Blake Lively, Jeremy Renner, and Chris Cooper to high-definition on December 17. 'Piranha - 3D' Blu-ray Detailed[teaser]The surprise fishy hit sinking its teeth into Blu-ray in January has now been fully detailed! [/teaser] As previously reported, Sony has planned Alejandre Aja's 'Piranha - 3D' for the Blu-ray 3D format as well as a non-3d Blu-ray release on January 11. The film is a loose remake of Joe Dante's 'Piranha' already released on Blu-ray as part of Shout Factory's Corman Classics line and stars Elizabeth Shue, Jerry O'Connell, Richard Dreyfuss, and Ving Rhames. Specs have yet to be revealed, but the 2D version will include: Filmmaker commentary; Deleted scenes with optional commentary; Deleted storyboard sequences; 10 Behind-the-scenes featurettes; Storyboard gallery; and Trailer & TV spots. Although the 3D version will also include the 2D version, it apparently will only include: Filmmaker commentary and 10 Behind-the-scenes featurettes.
