'Futureworld' Blu-ray Announced and Detailed[teaser]The 1976 cult sci-fi classic is getting the Blu-ray treatment in March. [/teaser] In an early announcement to retailers, Shout Factory will release 'Futureworld' on Blu-ray on March 26. Do you remember that disaster at Delos a few years ago when the “Westworld” robots went out of control and killed a few guests? Well, the entire resort has now been rebuilt and redesigned to be completely fail-safe. To combat the lingering adverse publicity, Duffy, the Delos representative, has offered the IMC Communication Network exclusive rights to the “new” Delos story. Tracy Ballard (Blythe Danner), the network’s top commentator, has been assigned the story with Chuck Browning (Peter Fonda), the newspaper reporter who broke the original “Westworld” disaster story. But as Tracy and Chuck’s private tour starts, they get the feeling the entire resort might not be as safe as Delos thinks… The Blu-ray will feature 1080p video, a DTS-HD Master Audio soundtrack, and supplements include: Theatrical Trailer, Radio Spots, and Still Gallery. 'Hello, Dolly!' Blu-ray Dated and Detailed[teaser]The Oscar-nominated 1969 musical will make its Blu-ray debut in April. [/teaser] In an early announcement to retailers, 20th Century Fox has slated 'Hello, Dolly!' for Blu-ray on April 2. One of Barbra Streisand's most beloved performances is that of the indomitable Dolly Levi in this hugely popular musical that received a Best Picture Academy Award Nomination in 1969. It's turn-of-the-century Yonkers, New York, where an ambitious young widow with a penchant for matchmaking (Streisand) has an idea for the perfect match --- tight-fisted, local merchant Horace Vandergelder (Walter Matthau) and...herself! 'Medium Cool' Dated and Detailed for Blu-ray[teaser]Haskell Wexler's 1969 political film starring Robert Forster is bound for Blu-ray in May. [/teaser] In an early announcement to retailers, Criterion has revealed 'Medium Cool' will hit Blu-ray on May 21. It’s 1968, and the whole world is watching. With the U.S. in social upheaval, famed cinematographer Haskell Wexler decided to make a film about what the hell was going on. His debut feature, 'Medium Cool,' plunges us into that moment. 'Band of Outsiders' Comes to Blu-ray[teaser]Jean-Luc Godard's 1964 gangster classic will arrive on Blu-ray in May. [/teaser] In an early announcement to retailers, the Criterion Collection is preparing 'Band of Outsiders'' for Blu-ray on May 7. Four years after 'Breathless,' Jean-Luc Godard reimagined the gangster film even more radically with 'Band of Outsiders,' in which two restless young men enlist the object of both of their fancies (Anna Karina) to help them commit a robbery—in her own home. 'Cleopatra' Blu-ray Up For Pre-Order![teaser]The 1963 Academy Award nominee for Best Picture is coming to Blu-ray later this year! The historical epic starring Elizabeth Taylor as the Egyptian queen was nominated for nine Oscars and won four including Best Art Direction/Set Decoration (Color), Best Cinematography (Color), Best Costume Design (Color), and Best Effects/Special Visual Effects.
