'The Bird with the Crystal Plumage' Announced for Blu-ray[teaser]Dario Argento's cult classic will flock to Blu-ray this August. [/teaser] In an early announcement to retailers, VCI is working on 'The Bird with the Crystal Plumage' for Blu-ray release on August 9. An American writer (Tony Musante) traveling in Rome is the only witness to an attempted murder by a sinister man in a raincoat and black leather gloves, though he is powerless to do anything to stop him. With a feeling that something is not quite right about the scene he has witnessed and the police's inability to make any progress, he launches his own personal investigation…and nearly loses his life in the process. While this modern day Jack-the-Ripper type is slithering through the dark byways of Rome slicing up pretty girls, director Dario Argento is carving up the emotions of terrified viewers. Dark deeds are mixed with black comedy worthy of Hitchcock in a film of almost unbearable tension and nail-biting suspense. Specs have yet to be revealed, but supplements include Theatrical Trailer plus the The Complete Original Music Soundtrack. Suggested list price for the Blu-ray is still undetermined at this time. You can find the latest specs for 'The Bird with the Crystal Plumage' linked from our Blu-ray Release Schedule, where it's indexed under August 9.Posted Thu Jun 13, 2013 at 08:00 AM PDT by: -
