'Hugh Laurie: Live on the Queen Mary' Announced for Blu-ray[teaser]Hugh Laurie's 2013 concert aboard the Queen Mary is planned for Blu-ray in two weeks. [/teaser] In an early announcement to retailers, Eagle Rock Entertainment is prepping 'Hugh Laurie: Live on the Queen Mary' for a high-definition release on October 22. On March 26th of this year a dream came true for Hugh Laurie when he took to the stage in the magnificent Art Deco surroundings of the famous liner Queen Mary, now moored permanently at Long Beach, California. The show combines tracks from both of his hugely successful blues albums, 'Let Them Talk' from 2011 (UK #2) and the recently released Didn't It Rain (UK #3), along with other musical gems. Hugh Laurie leads on vocals, piano and guitar and is supported by the Copper Bottom Blues Band, a fantastic group of musicians and singers. His engaging personality and skillful playing make for a perfect evening of sublime blues in a wonderfully intimate setting. From an unknown L.A. band creating early music films to an established worldwide phenomenon executing creative control over their celluloid persona, R-Evolution shows the growth of The Doors from being forced to accept the formulaic television approach to taking control of the medium. It’s all in the title – the evolution of a band that helped revolutionize the way rock bands promote their art. R-Evolution brings together a wealth of previously unreleased footage of The Doors. This incredible release features the classics “Light My Fire,” “People Are Strange,” “Hello, I Love You,” “Crawling King Snake,” “L.A. This live concert film brings those songs to life with the help of more than 40 symphony orchestra musicians at Nashville's famed Schermerhorn Symphony Center. The program includes seasonal favorites like "Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas" and "Let It Snow, Let It Snow, Let It Snow", alongside the self-penned title track "One This Winter's Night".
