[/teaser] In an early announcement to retailers, Kino Video says 'The Blue Angel' will hit Blu-ray on December 17. Emil Jannings ('The Last Laugh') stars as Professor Rath, the sexually repressed instructor of a boys' prep school. After learning of the pupils' infatuation with a local nightclub songstress, he decides to personally investigate the matter. But as soon as he enters the shadowy Blue Angel nightclub and steals one glimpse of the smoldering Lola-Lola (Marlena Dietrich), Rath is fatefully seduced by the throaty voice of the vulgar siren. The crowning achievement of the Weimar cinema, The Blue Angel is an exquisite parable of one man's fall from respectability, and the film that catapulted Marlene Dietrich to international stardom. Blu-ray Will Take No 'Prisoners' in December[teaser]Denis Villeneuve's ('Incendies') latest crime thriller is bound for Blu-ray next month. [/teaser] In an early announcement to retailers, Warner Brothers is readying 'Prisoners' for Blu-ray on December 17. In the rural New England town of Brockton, Massachusetts, neighbors and friends the Dovers and the Birches gather for Thanksgiving dinner, but by the end of the night, their celebration turns to panic when the families’ two youngest daughters go missing. As the hours pass and the girls don’t turn up, it becomes terrifyingly apparent they’ve been kidnapped. After the cops fail to find them, Keller Dover (Hugh Jackman) decides to take the law into his own hands, running up against dedicated Detective Loki (Jake Gyllenhaal). But even as Loki is diligently working against the clock to solve the case, Keller will stop at nothing to get their prime suspect to talk before it’s too late. 'The Hunt' Blu-ray Detailed[teaser]The acclaimed Danish thriller from Thomas Vinterberg arriving on Blu-ray in December has now been detailed. [/teaser] As previously reported, Magnolia will bring 'The Hunt' to Blu-ray on December 10. Mads Mikkelsen stars as Lukas, a recently-divorced primary school teacher locked in an acrimonious custody battle over his teenage son Marcus (Lasse Fogelstrøm).
