Raro Video Announces 'The Secret of Dorian Gray' & 'To Be Twenty' for Blu-ray[teaser]The distributor will add two more titles to its collection next year. [/teaser] In an early announcement to retailers, Raro Video is preparing 'The Secret of Dorian Gray' & 'To Be Twenty' for Blu-ray in early 2016. 'The Secret of Dorian Gray' - A seventies classic Italian film restored to its original splendor. In London, a wealthy, god-like, young man, Dorian Gray, loves Sybil, an aspiring actress; thanks to her, he’s momentarily less self-centered. He’s also sitting, scantily clad, for a portrait painted by his ascot-wearing friend, Basil. When it’s done, Dorian complains he’ll grow old while it stays unchanged- the classic plight of the vain. On the same night, as if he has sold his soul to the devil, exchanging vanity for morality, he ends it with Sybil, and then accepts the seductive offer of a party’s hostess to sleep with her. The next day, the painting looks slightly older. In horror and fascination, Dorian hides it away and continues a life of degradation. Over time, as the portrait becomes hideous, he’s unchanged by his ever-increasing libidinal life; finally, he and Basil face the painting. The exceptionally groovy score by Giuseppe De Luca enhances the seventies milieu. 'To Be Twenty' - Twenty, beautiful, sexy and liberated, and fed up with their provincial lives, Lia and Tina decide to hitchhike their way to Rome to find a commune where they can stay and live the life of free love... or so they think. Things don't go as they have planned though, and soon they become involved in prostitution, the police and an aggressive gang which all culminates with a brutal and unexpected violent end. Original uncensored director's cut of the film. Specs, supplements, and suggested list prices have not been detailed yet. You can find the latest specs for 'The Secret of Dorian Gray' & 'To Be Twenty' linked from our Blu-ray Release Schedule, where they're indexed under PENDING.Posted Mon Sep 28, 2015 at 06:00 AM PDT by: -
