[/teaser] In an early announcement to retailers, 20th Century Fox says 'A Bigger Splash' will hit Blu-ray on September 6. Academy Award® Winner Tilda Swinton and Oscar® Nominee Ralph Fiennes are on fire in the year’s most provocative story of emotional betrayal and sexual desire. Swinton plays a famous rock star vacationing with her lover (Matthias Schoenaerts) on a remote Italian island. Charles Walters' 'The Unsinkable Molly Brown' Blu-ray Now Available[teaser]The 1964 musical starring Debbie Reynolds is now available on Blu-ray. [/teaser] As previously reported, Warner Archive will be releasing 'The Unsinkable Molly Brown' on Blu-ray on June 21. "Be sure the story is something you cannot resist," Richard Rodgers once advised Meredith Willson. After considering 100 projects for a successor to The Music Man, Willson found one that was irresistible. And unsinkable. Debbie Reynolds plays the title role, inviting all to Belly Up to the Bar, Boys for the whoop-and-holler film of Willson's 1960 Broadway hit. Reynolds won a 1964 Best Actress Oscar nomination as the backwoods heroine who survives the Titanic and the snobbery of Denver society. She drives a tractor on a local coconut plantation, loves rock music and wants to be a tattoo artist. She feels trapped in the tiny coastal village. She is involved with Jeison (Geova Manoel dos Santos), who also works on the coconut farm and who free dives for lobster and octopus in his spare time. During the month of August, when tropical storms pound the coastline, a researcher registering the sound of the trade winds emanating from the Intertropical Convergence Zone arrives in their village. The high tides and the growing winds mark the following days of the village and a surprise discovery takes Shirley and Jeison on a journey that confronts them with the duel between life and death, loss and memory, the wind and the sea.
