It may not have light up the summer box office, but Warner Home Video will give 'The Ant Bully' a big high-def push this November when it releases the animated adventure to Blu-ray and HD DVD.
Due to premiere day-and-date with the standard-def DVD on November 28, the $25 million-grossing box office disappointment will hit Blu-ray as BD-25 single-layer release, and its rival as an HD DVD/DVD combo.
Both versions feature 1080p/VC-1 transfers, and the same spate of kid-friendly extras, including a featurette, alternate scenes, no less than seven animated short films and a TV screensaver. And as per usual with Warner's releases, both formats get the 640kbps, Dolby Digital 5.1 surround treatment, with the HD DVD version earning the extra "Plus" designator.
Warner has set a $34.95 list price for Blu-ray version, and $39.95 for the HD DVD/DVD combo.
Complete specs for both versions, including box art, have been added to our HD DVD Release Schedule, and Blu-ray Release Schedule.
