'Red Scorpion' Announced and Detailed for Blu-ray

Joseph Zito's 1988 actioner starring Dolph Lundgren will explode on Blu-ray in June.
In an early announcement to retailers, Synapse Films has revealed 'Red Scorpion' will be hitting Blu-ray on March 13.
Lundgren stars as a Russian KGB agent is sent to Africa to kill an anti-Communist black revolutionary. However, he has a change of heart when he sees how the Russians and their Cuban allies are killing and repressing the locals, so he switches sides and helps the rebels.

The cult 1985 film also known as 'Stryker's War' is going high-def in March!
In an early announcement to retailers, Synapse Films has revealed 'Thou Shalt Not Kill... Except' starring Sam Raimi, Ted Raimi, Scott Spiegel, and Brian Schulz will be hitting Blu-ray on March 13.
In Vietnam in 1969 Marine Sergeant Jack Stryker takes two bullets in the leg just outside a Vietcong occupied village and is rescued by a friend, blazing a bullet-strewn path out of the hellish jungle, entirely wiping out the enemy. He returns home to his girlfriend hoping for a life of quiet. But when his girlfriend is abducted by a frightening Manson-like cult of drug-addled cretins led by a vicious leader, Stryker gathers together three of his old marine buddies, and the quartet form a deadly revenge-seeking death squad.

As previously reported, Synapse Films has revealed 'Intruder: Director's Cut' will be hitting Blu-ray on December 13.
This slasher film that takes place inside a supermarket after closing time is directed by Scott Spiegel.
The release will be a Blu-ray/DVD combo pack that features 2k digitally restored video, a DTS-HD Master Audio 2.0 soundtrack, and supplements will include: Commentary with writer/director Scott Spiegel and producer Lawrence Bender; Slashed Prices: The Making of Intruder featurette; Extended murder sequences from the original workprint; Outtakes from Spiegel's lost short film, Night Crew; Cast audition footage; Stills gallery; and Theatrical trailer.

The cult cold-blooded revenge flick will explode on Blu-ray in September.
In an early announcement to retailers, Synapse Films has revealed 'The Exterminator' for Blu-ray on September 13.
Christopher George, Robert Ginty, and Samantha Eggar star in The Exterminator, James Glickenhaus' explosive story of Vietnam vet John Eastland (Ginty), a man who launches a bloody vendetta against the New York underworld when his best friend is brutally beaten by a vicious street gang. Eastland becomes a vigilante hero to the public, but to police The Exterminator is a psychopath capable of dangerously undermining an entire government administration.
The release will be a Blu-ray/DVD combo pack and will feature the original director's cut with more gore and violence in high-definition restored from vault materials, a newly discovered original stereo soundtrack, and supplements include an audio commentary by director James Glickenhaus, theatrical trailer, and TV spots.
Suggested list price for the Blu-ray is $29.95.

The 1982 slasher film is coming to Blu-ray in an all-new director's cut this March.
Synapse Films has just announced 'The Dorm That Dripped Blood' for Blu-ray on March 8.
The film will include footage no one has ever seen before including new sequences of gore and dialogue, restoring the film to the most complete version possible -- according to Synapse's Don May Jr..
Specs have yet to be revealed, but supplements will include: Audio commentary with directors Jeffrey Obrow and Stephen Carpenter; Featurettes about composer Christopher Young and makeup FX artist Matthew Mungle; and original theatrical trailer.
The release also will be a Blu-ray/DVD combo pack.

It has been thirty years, but Coffin Joe is back on the prowl, this time in high-definition this February.
Synapse Films has announced 'Embodiment of Evil' for Blu-ray on February 8.
The film is directed by and stars Portuguese filmmaker José Mojica Marins and is the third film in the 'Coffin Joe' trilogy, following 'At Midnight I'll Take Your Soul' (1964) and 'This Night I'll Possess Your Corpse' (1967).
The Blu-ray will feature 1080p video, a DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 soundtrack, and supplements will include: Featurette: Making of Embodiment of Evil, Footage from the Fantasia Film Festival premiere, and the original theatrical trailer.
