'K-11' Blu-ray Announced[teaser]Jules Stewart's directorial debut is coming to Blu-ray in April. [/teaser] In an early announcement to retailers, Breaking Glass Pictures is preparing 'K-11' for Blu-ray on April 23. 'K-11' stars Goran Visnjic (ABC-TV's new hit series 'Red Widow', 'The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo,' 'ER') as Raymond Saxx, a businessman whose drug use leads him to incarceration in the section of the Los Angeles County Jail reserved for LGBT inmates and firmly under the heel of Mousey (Mexican superstar Kate Del Castillo, 'Under the Same Moon,' 'La Reina del Sur', 'Weeds'), a malicious transgendered inmate. Saxx has no idea how he got there -- all he knows is he needs to get the hell out...alive and intact. Aggressive cellmates, corrupt officials and his own issues are just a few challenges he faces with while he pieces together a way out of this entirely new kind of rabbit hole. Director Jules Stewart, mother to 'Twilight' star Kristen, is a lauded script supervisor with over thirty years of experience in Hollywood. In 2010, Stewart formed Libertine Films with her business partner, producer Tom Wright. 'K-11' is their first feature. The film also stars DB Sweeney ('Taken 2'), Jason Mewes ('Jay & Silent Bob,' 'Clerks'), Portia Doubleday ('Kimberly Peirce's Carrie,' 'Youth in Revolt,' 'Almost Kings') and Tommy "Tiny" Lister ('The Fifth Element,' 'Jackie Brown'). Son Cameron Stewart makes his film debut in 'K-11' as Sledgehammer, while daughter Kristen Stewart ('Twilight,' 'On the Road') makes a special contribution. Specs have not been revealed yet, but supplements will include: a commentary by Jules Stewart and Tom Wright; deleted scenes; interviews with key cast and crew; a behind-the-scenes featurette; the "My Liberty" music video by cast member Billy Morrison; and a photo gallery. 'Movie 43' Blu-ray Announced[teaser]The star-studded comedy anthology is hitting Blu-ray in June. [/teaser] In an early announcement to retailers, 20th Century Fox is bringing 'Movie 43' to Blu-ray on June 18. From the twisted minds of producers Peter Farrelly ('Hall Pass,' 'Shallow Hal') and Charles Wessler ('There's Something About Mary,' 'Dumb & Dumber'), comes 'Movie 43' -- the outrageous new ensemble comedy starring some of the biggest names in Hollywood. 'Movie 43' is not for the easily-offended and contains jaw-dropping, sometimes shockingly disturbing, but always entertaining intertwined storylines you'll have to see to believe. The all-star cast includes Emma Stone, Kate Winslet, Justin Long, Jason Sudeikis, Kristin Bell, Gerard Butler, and Halle Berry. 'The Sweeney' Blu-ray Announced[teaser]The British action drama will be hitting Blu-ray in April. [/teaser] In an early announcement to retailers, Entertainment One is bringing 'The Sweeney' to Blu-ray on April 2. Tearing up the streets of London, 'The Sweeney' is a stylish and exhilarating action thriller proving sometimes you have to act like a criminal to catch a criminal. Directed by Nick Love and based on the popular 1970s U.K. television show of the same name, the U.K. box office smash is based on the Sweeney Flying Squad, London's elite crime-fighting force - a branch of the Metropolitan Police specializing in tackling armed robbery and violent crime. 'The Great Escape' Blu-ray Supplements Detailed[teaser]The special features have been announced for the 1963 classic heading to Blu-ray in May. [/teaser] As previously reported, MGM/UA is bringing 'The Great Escape' to Blu-ray on May 7. In 1943, the Germans opened Stalag Luft North, a maximum-security prisoner-of-war camp, designed to hold even the craftiest escape artists.
