'A Million Ways to Die in the West' Blu-ray Up for Pre-Order![teaser]The hazardous western comedy is now available for Blu-ray pre-orders at Amazon! [/teaser] In an early announcement to retailers, Universal will be releasing 'A Million Ways to Die in the West' on Blu-ray in the near future. Seth MacFarlane directs, produces, co-writes and plays the role of the cowardly sheep farmer Albert in A Million Ways to Die in the West. After Albert backs out of a gunfight, his fickle girlfriend leaves him for another man. When a mysterious and beautiful woman rides into town, she helps him find his courage and they begin to fall in love. But when her husband, a notorious outlaw, arrives seeking revenge, the farmer must put his newfound courage to the test. Starring alongside MacFarlane are Oscar winner Charlize Theron, Liam Neeson, Amanda Seyfried, Giovanni Ribisi, Sarah Silverman and Neil Patrick Harris. MacFarlane reunites many of the filmmakers behind Universal and MRC’s hit film Ted including Scott Stuber (Bluegrass Films) and Jason Clark who produce, and Wellesley Wild and Alec Sulkin who co-wrote the script. Specs, supplements, and a release date have not been set yet, but suggested list price for the Blu-ray is set at $34.98. 'The Nutty Professor: 50th Anniversary' Blu-ray Announced[teaser]The classic Jerry Lewis comedy is getting a 50th Anniversary Blu-ray edition in September! Pre-order here! [/teaser]In an early announcement to retailers, Warner Bros. is preparing 'The Nutty Professor: 50th Anniversary' for Blu-ray on September 16. Jerry Lewis directed, co-wrote and starred in this riotously funny movie that set a new standard for screen comedy and inspired the hit remake. Lewis plays a timid, nearsighted chemistry teacher who discovers a magical potion that can transform him into a suave and handsome Romeo. The Jekyll and Hyde game works well enough until the concoction starts to wear off at the most embarrassing times, and the professor begins to suffer hilarious symptoms of his personality split. Co-starring Stella Stevens. Supplements have not been revealed yet, but the Blu-ray will feature 1080p video and a lossless 5.1 soundtrack (original mono also included). A team consisting of a physicist, his wife, a young female psychic and the only survivor of the previous visit are sent to the notorious Hell House to prove/disprove survival after death.
