John Carpenter's 'Village of the Damned' Blu-ray Detailed[teaser]The 1995 horror flick starring Christopher Reeve and Kirstie Alley will possess Blu-ray in 2016. [/teaser] As previously reported, Scream Factory will be releasing 'Village of the Damned: Collector's Edition' on Blu-ray later this year, and now the date has been set for April 12. An American village is visited by some unknown life form which leaves the women of the village pregnant. Nine months later, the babies are born, and they all look normal, but it doesn't take the "parents" long to realise that the kids are not human or humane. Jon Cassar's 'Forsaken' Dated for Blu-ray[teaser]The western starring Kiefer Sutherland, Donald Sutherland, and Demi Moore will ride to Blu-ray at the end of the month. [/teaser] In an early announcement to retailers, Entertainment One will be releasing 'Forsaken' on Blu-ray on March 29. In 1872, John Henry Clayton (Kiefer Sutherland) retires as a gunfighter and returns to his hometown of Fowler, Wyoming in hope of repairing his relationship with his estranged father, Reverend Clayton (Donald Sutherland). However, he soon learns that the town is in turmoil, as the railroad will be coming through the area and a criminal gang is terrorizing ranchers who refuse to sell their land. John Henry is the only one who can stop them, but his father does not want his son to return to a life of violence. Curt Siodmak's 'The Magnetic Monster' Dated for Blu-ray[teaser]The 1953 science fiction film is headed for Blu-ray in July. [/teaser] In an early announcement to retailers, Kino will be releasing 'The Magnetic Monster' on Blu-ray on July 5. Working for O.S.I., the Office of Scientific Investigation, A-Man agent Jeffrey Stewart and his partner Dan Forbes are sent to a local hardware store where they find a strong magnetic field has magnetized every metal item in the store. Investigating further, they eventually trace the source of the magnetism to an airborn flight carrying scientist Howard Denker, now dying of radiation poisoning, who has carted on board with him a new radioactive element which he has bombarded with alpha particles for 200 hours. The element, dubbed 'serranium' grows geometrically by creating matter out of energy which it absorbs from metallic objects surrounding it. Stewart calculates that if the substance is not destroyed soon that within 24 hours or so it will have grown large enough to throw Earth out of its orbit.
