'Star Trek: The Wrath of Khan (Remastered in 4K)' Blu-ray Detailed[teaser]The fan favorite remastered in 4K getting a new Blu-ray release in June has now been fully detailed. [/teaser] As previously reported, Paramount will be releasing 'Star Trek: The Wrath of Khan: Director's Cut (Remastered in 4K)' on Blu-ray on June 7. 'Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan' is fondly regarded as being the closest in spirit to the 1966-69 TV series that spawned it. Admiral Kirk (William Shatner) escapes the tedium of a desk job to join Mr. Spock (Leonard Nimoy) and Dr. Leonard "Bones" McCoy (DeForest Kelley) on another space mission. While boldly going where no man etc. etc., Kirk crosses the path of his old enemy Khan (Ricardo Montalban), who as any die-hard Trekker can tell you, was the chief antagonist in the 1966 Trek TV episode "Space Seed." Leading a crew of near-savage space prisoners, Khan insinuates himself into the Genesis Project, which is designed to introduce living organisms on long-dead planets. Intending to harness this program for his own despotic purposes, Khan engages in battle with the Enterprise crew. ~ Daniel Gelb, Rovi. Gerard Butler Returns in 'London Has Fallen' Announced for Blu-ray[teaser]The explosive sequel to 'Olympus Has Fallen' heads to Blu-ray this summer. [/teaser] In an early announcement to retailers, Universal says 'London Has Fallen' will arrive on Blu-ray on June 14. When the British Prime Minster dies unexpectedly, Secret Service Agent Mike Banning (Gerard Butler) knows it is his duty to prep with Secret Service Director Lynne Jacobs (Angela Bassett) for them to accompany U.S. President Benjamin Asher (Aaron Eckhart) to the state funeral at St Paul’s Cathedral in London. With every powerful world leader set to attend, the funeral should be the most protected event on Earth. Yet within moments of arriving, heads of government are assassinated and London landmarks are attacked. Asher, Banning, and Jacobs are ambushed and retreat amidst a hail of gunfire and explosives. The devastated British capital goes into lockdown. Banning will stop at nothing to secure Asher’s safe return home. Back at the White House, Vice President Allan Trumbull (Morgan Freeman) races against time brainstorming with top advisors in the Situation Room to get those trapped in London a lifeline of support and a way out.
