Adam Nimoy's 'For the Love of Spock' Blu-ray Dated[teaser]The 2016 documentary is headed for Blu-ray in December.[/teaser] In an early announcement to retailers, FilmRise is working on 'For the Love of Spock' for Blu-ray on December 6. A one-of-a-kind documentary sure to unite Trek fans worldwide, For the Love of Spock tells the life of Star Trek's Mr. Spock and the actor who played him, Leonard Nimoy, for nearly fifty years. The film's focus began as a celebration of the fifty-year anniversary of Star Trek: The Original Series, but after Leonard passed away in February 2015, his son, director Adam Nimoy, was ready to tell another story: his personal experience growing up with Leonard and Spock. Adam not only shares details on the creation, evolution, and universal impact of Mr. Spock, but also about the ups and downs of being the son of a TV icon. The film is filled with never-before-seen footage and interviews of friends, family and colleagues that include William Shatner and the original Star Trek cast, Zachary Quinto and the new crew of the Starship Enterprise, filmmaker JJ Abrams and astrophysicist Neil deGrasse Tyson. 'Sausage Party' Announced for Blu-ray and 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray[teaser]The R-rated animated comedy will be invited to both formats in November.[/teaser] In an early announcement to retailers, Sony says 'Sausage Party' will be available on Blu-ray and 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray on November 8. Sausage Party, the first R-rated CG animated movie, is about one sausage leading a group of supermarket products on a quest to discover the truth about their existence and what really happens when they become chosen to leave the grocery store. The Nerdlucks, a gang of space creatures, have been dispatched by their boss to kidnap Bugs Bunny and his Looney Tunes cohorts. Bugs challenges the aliens to a basketball tournament: if the Looney Tunes win, they'll remain on Earth. Bugs knows he needs some serious help, but basketball's best players are all having their skills "absorbed" by the aliens. Of course, there's a baseball player he happens to know...
