Criterion Announces September Blu-rays[teaser]The Criterion Collection has announced a September 22 Blu-ray release for 'Pierrot le fou' and 'The Complete Monterey Pop Festival.'[/teaser] According to the press materials, 'Pierrot le fou' will feature 1080p video, PCM mono audio, and supplements will include: "A Pierrot Primer", a new video program with audio commentary by filmmaker Jean-Pierre Gorin, "Godard, l'amour, la poésie", a fifty-minute French documentary about director Jean-Luc Godard and his work and marriage with Karina, Archival interview excerpts with Godard, Karina, and actor Jean-Paul Belmondo, Theatrical trailer, and a booklet featuring a new essay by critic Richard Brody, a 1969 review by Andrew Sarris, and a 1965 interview with Godard. 'Crash: Season One' Blu-ray Delayed Until September[teaser]As previously reported, Starz/Anchor Bay had originally announced a late August Blu-ray bow for season one of 'Crash' but the release has been delayed. [/teaser] Based on the Oscar-winning film, 'Crash' is now scheduled for release on September 15 (instead of August 25). The 4-disc set will contain all thirteen episodes presented in widescreen 1.78:1 aspect ratio with Dolby Digital 5.1 Surround Sound. The release will also feature a few supplements, including a behind-the-scenes featurette, alternate ending for the 13th episode, character bios, a sneak peek at season two, and a Blu-ray exclusive Character Track enabling viewers to select characters and watch that particular story arc.
