Oculus Rift Pre-Orders Opening on January 6th

Oculus Rift inches ever closer to release.

It has been announced today that pre-orders for the upcoming Oculus Rift will be opening at 8AM Pacific Time on January 6th, further information will be provided by Oculus as soon as pre-orders go live. No price point has been given yet.

Oculus has previously announced that every Rift will come bundled with 'Lucky's Tale', and every pre-order will also come with EVE: Valkyrie. Oculus founder Palmer Luckey will also be answering questions during a Reddit AMA on Wednesday at 6PM Pacific Time.

It's exciting to see that Oculus is finally beginning to close in on release, and I expect pre-order numbers will be rather high come Wednesday. The pre-order incentive is rather nice, and both 'Lucky's Tale' and 'EVE: Valkyrie' appear to be excellent showcases for what the Rift can do.
