A new documentary on The Doors is planned for a high-definition release this June.
Eagle Rock Entertainment in a licensing deal with Rhino Entertainment is readying Tom DiCillo's 'When You're Strange: A Film About The Doors' for a North American Blu-ray release on June 29.
The documentary chronicling the history of the legendary rock band includes previously unreleased footage and is narrated by Johnny Depp.
"We are delighted to continue our visual programming connection with The Doors and to build further on our co-operation with Rhino," says Terry Shand, Chairman of Eagle.
Mike Carden, President of North America Operations, has this to add, "We are very excited about marketing this film and will work hard with our sales and distribution partners to promote the DVD as well as work closely with Rhino to cross-promote the soundtrack album."
There's no word on specs or supplements yet, but suggested list price for the Blu-ray is $27.99.
