Specs are in for 'Green Lantern: First Flight,' which Warner Premiere will release on Blu-ray this July with hours of exclusive content and Digital Copy.
First announced last month, the studio revealed precious little about the famed comic book character's first direct-to-video premiere film other than a July 25 release (day-and-date on Blu-ray and DVD).
Full specs are now in, with the anticipated animated epic receiving the BD-50 dual-layer treatment, with 1080p/VC-1 video (1.78:1) and Dolby TrueHD 5.1 Surround audio.
A second disc will include a standard-def Digital Copy of the film, compatible with PCs and iTunes.
Extras shared between the Blu-ray and two-disc DVD versions include the featurette "Behind the Story," Green Lantern character profiles, previews of the upcoming 'Superman/Batman Public Enemies' and 'Blackest Night' releases, the 'Duck Dodgers' series episode "The Green Loontern," and two additional bonus cartoons presented by Bruce Timm.
Exclusive to the Blu-ray is the documentary "I Am the Ring" (that explores the literary lore of the Green Lantern) and five additional bonus cartoons from Timm.
Suggested retail price for the Blu-ray has been set at $29.99.
