The cult 1985 film also known as 'Stryker's War' is going high-def in March!
In an early announcement to retailers, Synapse Films has revealed 'Thou Shalt Not Kill... Except' starring Sam Raimi, Ted Raimi, Scott Spiegel, and Brian Schulz will be hitting Blu-ray on March 13.
In Vietnam in 1969 Marine Sergeant Jack Stryker takes two bullets in the leg just outside a Vietcong occupied village and is rescued by a friend, blazing a bullet-strewn path out of the hellish jungle, entirely wiping out the enemy. He returns home to his girlfriend hoping for a life of quiet. But when his girlfriend is abducted by a frightening Manson-like cult of drug-addled cretins led by a vicious leader, Stryker gathers together three of his old marine buddies, and the quartet form a deadly revenge-seeking death squad.
Specs have yet to be revealed, but the release will be a Blu-ray/DVD Combo Pack and will feature an all-new high-definition 2k digital restoration from the original negative and supplements will include: The Original Super 8mm short film, Stryker's War Short Film, starring Bruce Campbell!; Made in Michigan: The Making of Thou Shalt Not Kill… Except - Featurette; Two Audio Commentaries Featuring Director Josh Becker, Bruce Campbell and Star Brian Schulz; All-New Video Interview with Bruce Campbell; Deleted Scene with Optional Director's Commentary; Alternate Title Sequence; Original Theatrical Trailer; and Reversible Cover Artwork.
Suggested list price is still undetermined at this time.
