If you like LE packaging and a free month's worth of digital comics, then this is the version for you!
As previously reported, Paramount will release 'Thor' and 'Thor - 3D' on September 13.
The god of thunder comes to life in Kenneth Branagh's action fantasy starring Chris Hemsworth as the arrogant Asgardian legend, Anthony Hopkins as his father Odin, Natalie Portman as Jane Foster, and Tom Hiddleston as the mischievous Loki.
The releases will be a Blu-ray/DVD/Digital Copy combo pack with 1080p video, a lossless soundtrack, and over 80 minutes of features including two featurettes, a sneak peek for The Avengers, and more!
Also available will be a Best Buy exclusive edition housed inside alternate collectible package featuring the very first image of Marvel’s Thor, which appeared in the comic book “Journey into Mystery” #83 in August 1962 with cover art by Jack Kirby and Joe Sinnott. The vintage image invites consumers to “Begin the saga of Thor in this issue!”
In addition, every person who pre-orders the Thor Blu-ray/DVD Combo prior to September 13, 2011 on BestBuy.com will receive a one-month subscription to Marvel Digital Comics Unlimited ($9.99 value).
Suggested list price for the Blu-ray is $35.99, Blu-ray 3D is $45.99, and the Best Buy exclusive is now available for pre-order for $29.99.
