As the launch of Blu-ray kicks into high gear this week, Sony has announced two new day-and-date releases for the format, the box office hits 'Silent Hill' and 'RV.'

The $75 million-grossing comedy 'RV' will hit Blu-ray on August 15, followed one week later by the horror yarn 'Silent Hill.' Both are 25GB single-layer discs, and are presented in 2.40:1 widescreen, 1080p video with uncompressed PCM 5.1 surround tracks.

Currently, Sony has not indicated any special features on either disc, nor any exclusive HD bonus content. However, the studio has yet to issue a full press release for either title.

All late-breaking information for both titles will be added to our complete Blu-ray Release Schedule as it is announced.
