The Japanese sci-fi hit 'The Sky Crawlers' is coming to high-def, with Sony setting a late-May Blu-ray arrival for the cult favorite.
Telling the tale of an alternate future where forever-young teens must rise against their adult oppressors, the Mamoru Oshii-directed animated fantasy will arrive Stateside on May 26, day-and-date on Blu-ray and DVD.
Extras include only a pair of featurettes ("Animation Research for The Sky Crawlers," "The Sound Design and Animation of The Sky Crawlers").
Exclusive to the Blu-ray will be another featurette, "Sky's the Limit: An Interview with Director Mamoru Oshii," as well as BD-Live connectivity.
Suggested retail price for the Blu-ray has been set at $34.95.
