As the Blu-ray format officially launches next week with the arrival
of Sony's first wave of disc titles, the studio has announced two more releases
due August.
Making their Blu-ray debuts on August 15 are the deep sea thriller '
Into
the Blue,' and Paul Verhoeven's cult classic '
RoboCop.'
Both will include 1080p encoded transfers and PCM 5.1 surround uncompressed
soundtracks (traditional Dolby Digital 5.1 options are also provided for both
releases).
'Into the Blue' will also contain all of the same features as the standard DVD
release, including a filmmaker commentary and a featurette, though extras have
not yet been announced for 'RoboCop.' Neither title will include any exclusive
HD content.
Retail for each title is $28.99.
The latest details for both releases has been added to our complete
