Hide the children and pets: National Geographic will debut the big-screen documentary 'Sea Monsters' on Blu-ray just in time for the summer swimming season.
Originally produced as a "Giant Screen" National Geographic feature film (for IMAX and other large-screen venues), 'Sea Monsters' combines live-action reenactments of fossil discoveries with cutting-edge CGI to bring these prehistoric monsters to life.
National Geographic (via parent distributor Warner Home Video) will debut 'Sea Monsters' on Blu-ray June 10, day-and-date with the standard-def DVD.
Tech details for the high-def version include 1080p/VC-1 video and English, French and Spanish Dolby Digital 5.1 Surround audio.
There are currently no announced supplements, but we'll keep you posted of any future spec updates.
Suggested retail for the Blu-ray has been set at $28.99.
