Walt Disney Studios Home Entertainment has announced its next Platinum series Blu-ray release, marking a March debut for the animated classic 'Pinocchio.'
The studio has confirmed a March 10, 2009 street date for 'Pinocchio: 70th Anniversary Platinum Edition,' which will mark the beloved 1940 classic's first trip to high-def.
There are little official specs at this juncture, though early reports from Disney indicate that the Blu-ray will also include a DVD version of the film, BD-Live features, and newly-discovered deleted scenes and an alternate ending.
Disney has also yet to set a suggested list price for the Blu-ray, but as always, watch this space for the latest news as soon as it comes to us.
