Two classic 1970s musicals are planned for Blu-ray this June.
In an early announcement to retailers, MGM is prepping 'Hair' and 'New York, New York' for Blu-ray on June 7.
'Hair' was nominated for two Golden Globes including Best Motion Picture - Musical/Comedy and New Star of the Year in a Motion Picture - Male (Treat Williams), while 'New York, New York' was nominated for four including Best Original Song (New York, New York), Best Actor - Musical/Comedy (Robert De Niro), Best Actress - Musical/Comedy (Liza Minnelli) and Best Motion Picture - Musical/Comedy.
Specs, supplements, and suggested list price for the Blu-rays are still undetermined at this time.
