'Australia' Coming to Blu-ray

'Australia' is headed to high-def, with Fox Home Entertaining setting an early-March landing for the Baz Luhrmann epic.

Receiving mixed reviews from critics and audiences, the Hugh Jackman-Nicole Kidman starrer earned just over $50 million at the domestic box office (despite a production budget that reportedly neared $200 million).

Nevertheless, the visually-spectacular romantic drama should make for ideal high-def demo material when it arrives on Blu-ray March 3 (day-and-date with the standard DVD).

Tech specs will see the 124-minute film spread across a BD-50 dual-layer disc and presented in 1080p/AVC MPEG-4 video and DTS-HD Lossless Master Audio 5.1 Surround.

The extensive bonus features include the 9-part documentary "Behind the Scenes," an "Australia: The people, the History, the Location" featurette, and deleted scenes.

Suggested retail price for the Blu-ray has been set at $39.99.
