'Evil Dead' Blu-ray Detailed

Details are in for Sam Raimi's horror classic headed for Blu-ray in August!

As previously reported, Starz/Anchor Bay Entertainment has revealed 'Evil Dead' starring the amazing Bruce Campbell as legendary S-mart employee Ash Williams for a Blu-ray release on August 31.

The two follow-ups in Raimi's 'Evil Dead' series, 'Evil Dead II: Dead by Dawn' and 'Army of Darkness,' have already been released on the format.

The Blu-ray will feature a new high-definition 1080p transfer supervised by Sam Raimi, likely a lossless soundtrack (still unconfirmed), and supplements will include behind-the-scenes footage, outtakes, talent bios, and a poster and still gallery.

As an added bonus for fans, there's also going to be a brand new commentary with Sam Raimi, Robert Tapert, and Bruce Campbell.

Suggested list price for the Blu-ray is $29.97.
