'Diary of the Dead' to Stalk Blu-ray this October

In a late-breaking retail announcement, the Weinstein Co. is planning to bring George Romero's 'Diary of the Dead' to Blu-ray in time for Halloween.

Merging zombie horror with reality TV, Romero's latest 'Dead' epic will be released through Weinstein's Dimension Extreme label. Streeting October 21, the Blu-ray arrives several months after the standard DVD release.

There are no tech specs or supplemental details available yet at this early date, but a package comparable to the DVD is expected. We'll keep you posted.

Suggested list price for the Blu-ray is $19.99.
