Hapless with the ladies, college freshman Jonathan Moore (Anthony Edwards) convinces his parents to pay for a European vacation, hoping he can lose his virginity overseas. In Paris, he meets 24-year-old Sasha Banicek (Linda Fiorentino), a sexy Czech woman who invites him to accompany her to West Berlin. Sasha, desperate to get a roll of film to the CIA, gives Jonathan the package without telling him what's inside. Unaware of what he's carrying, Jonathan must elude the Soviet forces trailing him.
