The series follows the exploits of Haruhi Suzumiya, a not so typical high-school student with very particular tastes. Only interested in meeting espers, aliens and time-travelers, she decides to start her own club, the SOS Brigade, and attracts several unique individuals. Kyon, a fellow student, ends up in the SOS Brigade where he learns there is more to Haruhi than meets the eye.
