The Little American

Mary Pickford stars as Angela Moore, a young American passenger on a boat torpedoed by the Germans at the onset of World War I, in 1914. Trapped by the enemy in a French chateau, Angela bravely faces the horrors of war, and the terrible pain of heartbreak. La Grande Observer states on August 4th, 1917, "Angela Moore is forced to face experiences that would try the soul of the bravest and Mary Pickford's performance is not found wanting."

The Little American is a timeless classic filled with drama, romance, and the epic scenes that will come to be identified with the grand cinematic experience of a film by Cecil B. DeMille.
