On two sides of Durham, North Carolina are two very different women: Jyothi, an Indian housewife in an arranged marriage, and Sophie, an unemployed stoner musician. After they both hit dead ends in life, they meet by chance at a pawn shop, and soon find themselves on the run from the law, together on a wild, surreal American road trip to French Canada.
