Born to Be Human

Yang Shi-Nan is a 14-year-old boy who was diagnosed as a intersex person due to a sudden physiological change. Under doctor’s persuasion, his parents decided to have sex reassignment surgery performed on him without his permission. Now named Yang Shi-Lan, she seemed to have a smooth transition to a new life, but her inner struggle and the contradiction between gender cognition has made her feel painful. After moving with her parents to a new city, the butterfly is about to break out of its chrysalis. Can Yang Shi-Lan/Yang Shi-Nan truly embrace her/his transformation?
