Ian McKellen (The Lord of the Rings) reprises his Royal National Theatre stage triumph in director Richard Loncraine's (Wimbledon) screen adaptation of William Shakespeare's tale of the monstrous royal, Richard III, from a screenplay co-written by McKellen and Loncraine. Featuring a stellar supporting cast that includes Annette Bening, Maggie Smith, Robert Downey Jr., Kristen Scott Thomas and John Wood, the Bard's original Elizabethan tale of villainy is reimagined and set within a 1930s war-torn fascist monarchy.
