Plot Synopsis:
Author John le Carré's novel "The Russia House" is brought to life by director Fred Schepisi (Six Degrees of Separation) and screenwriter Tom Stoppard (Empire of the Sun) in this political thriller set during the peak of the Cold War. Sean Connery (Goldfinger) and Michelle Pfeiffer (The Fabulous Baker Boys) play spies and lovers in a game of cat and mouse to prevent a highly sensitive manuscript from falling into the wrong hands. A chorus of bureaucrats are vividly brought to life by Roy Scheider (Jaws), James Fox (The Remains of the Day), John Mahoney (Moonstruck) and, in a scene-stealing turn, Ken Russell (Women in Love).
