'A Very Harold & Kumar Christmas' Announced for Blu-ray and Blu-ray 3D

The third chapter in the adventure-comedy franchise will arrive on Blu-ray in February.

In an early announcement to retailers, New Line Cinema is preparing 'A Very Harold & Kumar Christmas' Blu-ray/DVD/Ultraviolet Digital Copy combo pack and 'A Very Harold & Kumar Christmas - 3D' Blu-ray 3D/Blu-ray/DVD/Ultraviolet Digital Copy combo pack on February 7.

Following years of growing apart, Harold Lee (John Cho) and Kumar Patel (Kal Penn) have replaced each other with new friends and are preparing for their respective Yuletide celebrations. But when a mysterious package mistakenly arrive at Kumar’s door on Christmas Eve, his attempts to redirect it to Harold’s house ends with the “high grade” contents – and Harold’s father-in-law’s prize Christmas tree – going up in smoke. With his in-laws out of the house for the day, Harold decides to cover his tracks, rather than come clean. Reluctantly embarking on another ill-advised journey with Kumar, through New York City, their search for the perfect replacement tree takes them through party heaven – and almost blows Christmas Eve sky high.

Specs and supplements have yet to be revealed, but suggested list prices are $35.99 and $45.98 for the Blu-ray 3D.

'Don Juan DeMarco' Announced for Blu-ray

Love is in the air on Blu-ray this April.

In an early announcement to retailers, it seems 'Don Juan DeMarco' is coming to Blu-ray on April 10.

The drama is about a psychotherapist who examines a patient who believes he's the world's greatest lover stars Marlon Brando, Johnny Depp, and Faye Dunaway.

Specs and supplements have yet to be revealed, but suggested list price for the Blu-ray will likely be $19.98.

'Horrible Bosses' Announced and Detailed for Blu-ray

The R-rated comedy is gearing up for Blu-ray this October.

In an early announcement to retailers, New Line Cinema will be bringing 'Horrible Bosses' on Blu-ray on October 11.

The movie stars Jason Bateman, Charlie Day, and Jason Sudekis as best buds who plot to kill each of their bosses (played by Jennifer Aniston, Kevin Spacey, and Colin Farrell).

The Blu-ray/DVD/Digital Copy combo pack present both the theatrical (98 minute cut) and an extended (106 minute cut) in 1080p video, a DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 soundtrack, and supplements include: Deleted Scenes and Ultraviolet Digital Copy as well as the Blu-ray exclusive My Least Favorite Career, Surviving A Horrible Boss, Being Mean Is So Much Fun, and Making of the Horrible Bosses soundtrack.

Suggested list price for the Blu-ray is $35.99.

'The Final Destination - 3D' Blu-ray Date Correction

The fourth film in the horror franchise heads to Blu-ray 3D just in time for the theatrical release of 'Final Destination 5!'

As previously reported, Warner Brothers has revealed 'The Final Destination - 3D' will hit stores on August 16, but now the date seems to be August 2.

The movie has already been released on Blu-ray in anaglyph 3D and you can read our review of that edition here.

The Blu-ray 3D contains both the 2D and 3D versions of the film with 1080p video, a DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 soundtrack, and supplements include: Two alternate endings; Previsualization and Storyboards; Body Count: The Deaths on The Final Destination – Deconstructing Key Death Scenes; and Additional Scenes.

The release will also include a voucher for up to $8 movie cash to see 'Final Destination 5 - 3D' in theatres on August 26.

Suggested list price for the Blu-ray 3D is $44.95.

It's now official! Peter Jackson's extended trilogy is coming at the end of June -- and 'The Fellowship of the Ring' WILL receive a brand new transfer!

As previously reported, Warner Brothers' 'The Lord of the Rings: The Motion Picture Trilogy - Limited Edition Extended Editions' will be released on June 28.

The collection reportedly will also consist of 15 discs (6 Blu-rays - 2 for each movie, 9 DVDs) with 1080p video, DTS-HD Master Audio 6.1 soundtracks, and all of the supplements found on previous editions (most of which will be found on the included DVDs).

'The Fellowship of the Ring' has been remastered from the original 2k digital files.

Supplements include: Audio Commentaries (multiple tracks for each film); Easter Eggs: MTV Movie Award Spoof (The Council of Elrod), MTV Movie Awards clip (Gollum accepting award); Costa Botes Documentaries: The Fellowship of the Ring, The Two Towers, The Return of the King: Behind the Scenes (on DVD); The Appendices (on DVD): Part 1: From Book to Vision; The Appendices: Part 2: From Vision to Reality; The Appendices: Part 3: The Journey Continues; The Appendices: Part 4: The Battle for Middle Earth; The Appendices: Part 5: The War of the Ring; The Appendices: Part 6: The Passing of an Age; Sixteen cast members, including Elijah Wood, Sean Astin, Andy Serkis, John Rhys-Davies, Orlando Bloom, Christopher Lee, Bernard Hill, and Miranda Otto; and online digital copies.

'The Rite' Announced for Blu-ray

The supernatural thriller inspired by true events will be summoned to Blu-ray in May.

In an early announcement to retailers, Warner Brothers/New Line Cinema has revealed 'The Rite' is headed to Blu-ray on May 17.

The film is directed by Mikael Håfström and stars Anthony Hopkins as a renowned exorcist who takes a young seminary apprentice under his wing.

Specs have yet to be revealed, but supplements will include additional scenes.

The Blu-ray will also include an exclusive alternate ending and The Rite: Soldier of God – meet Father Gary Thomas, the Vatican-ordained exorcist whose life story inspired the film.

This release will also include a DVD and digital copy of the film.

Suggested list price for the Blu-ray is $35.99.

'Austin Powers' Blu-rays Available Separately at Best Buy

The three films in Mike Myers' spy spoof trilogy will be sold separately on Blu-ray in January, though High-Def Digest Editor in Chief Mike Attebery saw them as Best Buy exclusives yesterday!

New Line/Warner has announced 'Austin Powers: International Man of Mystery,' 'Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me,' and 'Austin Powers in Goldmember' for individual Blu-ray releases on January 4, however they've already been spotted at Best Buy.

Specs and content will be the same as the previously released 'Austin Powers Collection' box set.

Suggested list price for each Blu-ray is $24.98, the prices marked at Best Buy were $22.99.
