Rodriguez's 'Roadracers' Skids Onto Blu-ray

Robert Rodriguez's first studio film finds its way to Blu-ray.
From the Miramax catalogue of titles, we'll finally be getting 'Roadracers,' Robert Rodriguez's very first studio film, released on Blu-ray on April 17, 2012.
Acclaimed director Robert Rodriguez delivers more action-packed thrills with Roadracers, the story of a rockin’ rebel named Dude (David Arquette), racing through life with a fast car, a loud guitar, a sexy girlfriend (Salma Hayek), and a big mouth. But when a confrontation ends with deadly threats, Dude finds himself speeding head-on toward a showdown that will settle the score for good. With hot stars and an energetic style all its own, Roadracers is fast-paced entertainment that never slows down.

'Gangs of New York (Remastered)' Blu-ray Announced

Martin Scorsese's epic crime drama is getting polished for a re-mastered high-definition release in February.
In an early announcement to retailers, Miramax will be releasing 'Gangs of New York' starring Daniel Day-Lewis and Leonardo DiCaprio in a re-mastered edition on Blu-ray on February 2.
Specs haven't been revealed yet, but supplements include: Feature Commentary With Martin Scorsese; Costume Design Featurette; Set Design Featurette; History Of The Five Points Featurette; Exploring The Sets Of GANGS OF NEW YORK With Multiple Angles Utilizing 360 Degree Shots of The Sets; U2 Music Video The Hands That Built America; Discovery Channel Special Uncovering The Real Gangs Of New York; The Five Points Study Guide: Luc Sante Introduction And Five Points Vocabulary; Teaser Trailer; and Theatrical Trailer.
Suggested list price for the Blu-ray has been set at $39.99.

Miramax Details 'Ultimate Force of Four' for Blu-ray

As previously reported, Miramax will release 'Hero,' 'Iron Monkey,' 'The Legend of Drunken Master,' and 'The Blind Swordsman: Zatoichi ' on Blu-ray.
On September 15, all four films will be available individually or in a boxed set 'The Ultimate Force of Four.
All of the discs will feature 1080p/AVC MPEG-4 video and lossless soundtracks.
Supplements for 'Hero' include Hero defined, Storyboards, Inside the Action: A Conversation with Quentin Tarantino & Jet Li, and a new Close-Up of a Fight Scene.
'Iron Monkey' will contain a pair of interviews with Quentin Tarantino and Donnie Yen.
The only supplement on 'The Legend of Drunken Master' is Behind the Master: An interview with Jackie Chan.
Lastly, 'Zatoichi' will have a Behind-the-Scenes special and Video interviews.
Suggested list price for each Blu-ray has been set at $39.99 ('Hero' is $44.99). The box set is $109.99.

Miramax will bring 'The Ultimate Force of Four' to Blu-ray this fall.
On September 15, Miramax will release 'Hero,' 'Iron Monkey,' 'The Legend of Drunken Master,' and 'The Blind Swordsman: Zatoichi' on Blu-ray. All four films will also be available in a boxed set 'The Ultimate Force of Four.'
Specs and supplements haven't been announced at this time.
