Lionsgate Prepping 'Universal Soldier,' 'Angel Heart' for Blu-ray
Thu May 22, 2008 at 11:00 AM ETTags: Disc Announcements, Lionsgate (all tags)
Lionsgate has included a new promotional insert with this month's Blu-ray debut of 'Rambo,' previewing a quartet of upcoming titles, including the first confirmation of still-unscheduled next-gen releases of 'Universal Solider' and 'Angel Heart.'
Dropping on our doorstep this week was a copy of 'Rambo,' which included a color advertisement in the keepcase touting the upcoming release of four Blu-ray titles, including the recently-announced 'The Doors' and 'Belly.'
Although no exact street dates were given, the ad also promised future debuts for 'Universal Soldier' and 'Angel Heart.' With both 'The Doors' and 'Belly' given August 12 dates, 'Angel Heart' and 'Soldier' appear posed for a late Summer or early Fall arrival.
No additional specs are revealed in the promo, though it does promise upgraded video and audio. We'll definitely keep you posted as further word comes from the studio.
In the meantime, we've added listings for 'Universal Soldier' and 'Angel Heart' to the "Release Dates Pending" section of our Blu-ray Release Schedule. Stay tuned!
