First Look: 'Austin Powers' Blu-ray Box Art

There are still no specs, but New Line has unveiled an early peek at the Blu-ray box art for the 'Austin Powers Collection.'
As previously reported, New Line/Warner announced a December 2 arrival for the 'Austin Powers Collection: Shagadelic Edition, with Extra Mojo,' which will box up all three entries in Mike Myers' spy spoof series -- 'Austin Powers: International Man of Mystery,' 'Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me' and 'Austin Powers in Goldmember.'
Though the studio has yet to reveal the full contents of the box set, they promise extensive supplemental features including audio commentaries, deleted scenes, multiple featurettes, music videos, and more. We'll keep you posted as official specs come to us.
Helping to tide us over while we await the full press release, however, New Line has just unveiled a sneak peek at the Blu-ray's cover art:

First Look: 'Iron Man' Blu-ray Box Art

The Blu-ray won't arrive until late September, but we've got an early peek at the box art for 'Iron Man.'
As previously reported, Paramount set a September 30 landing for the Robert Downey, Jr. blockbuster, which grossed over $300 million at the domestic box office and proved to be one of the summer's biggest hits. (The studio will debut the Blu-ray day-and-date with the standard DVD.)
As announced, 'Iron Man' will hit Blu-ray as a two disc set, with the feature film presented across a BD-50 dual-layer disc with 1080p video and Dolby TrueHD 5.1 Surround audio.
Extras include the documentaries "Hall of Armor: The Invincible Iron Man" and "I Am Iron Man," the "Wired: The Visual Effects of Iron Man" featurette, deleted scenes, a Robert Downey Jr. screen test, "The Actor's Process" rehearsal footage, a short film by The Onion ("Wildly Popular Iron Man Trailer to be Adapted into Full Length Film"), still galleries, and the original theatrical trailer.
Exclusive to the Blu-ray release will be BD-Live functionality (Profile 2.0 required) on disc one, including the "Iron Man IQ" interactive feature.
Finally, Paramount has unveiled the final box art for 'Iron Man,' which offers a new twist on the film's original theatrical key art:

MGM Unwraps James Bond Blu-ray Art

MGM has unveiled a first look at the box art for the first six titles in its upcoming James Bond Blu-ray collection.
As previously reported, MGM made 007 fans really happy last month when it announced it was bringing its first wave of classic James Bond titles to Blu-ray on October 21 (day-and-date with new standard DVD re-issues).
Spanning all four decades of Bond, the six titles include 'Dr. No,' 'From Russia with Love,' 'Thunderball,' 'Live and Let Die,' 'For Your Eyes Only' and 'Die Another Day.'
MGM will also package the six titles in a pair of three-pack bundles, with the 'James Bond Blu-ray Collection Three-Pack: Volume 1' featuring 'From Russia with Love,' 'Thunderball' and 'For Your Eyes Only,' and the 'James Bond Blu-ray Collection Three-Pack: Volume 2' with 'Dr. No,' 'Live and Let Die' and 'Die Another Day.'
Although MGM still has not released any tech specs or supplement details as of yet, they have issued a teaser of what's to come with full-res box art images for the six stand-alone Bond titles:

Suggested list price for the stand-alone Bond titles has been set at $34.95 a pop, and $89.95 for each 3-pack bundle.

Warner Unwraps 'Christmas Story' Blu-ray Specs, Packaging

Warner Home Video has revealed final specs and box art for its double dip of 'A Christmas Story,' which will hit Blu-ray this November with hours of bonus materials and deluxe holiday-themed packaging.
As previously reported, Warner will re-issue the Bob Clark classic on November 4 as 'A Christmas Story: Ultimate Collector's Edition,' hitting Blu-ray day-and-date with a new DVD special edition.
Now the full details of the box set are in, and it looks to be the most full-fledged release yet of the perennial favorite. "Festively packaged" in a collectible retro holiday cookie tin, included are five collectible cookie cutters in iconic 'Christmas Story' shapes; a 48-page cook book filled with recipes inspired by the film; photos and quotes and a custom-designed chef's apron. (Exclusive to the Blu-ray box set is an additional Leg Lamp light stand.)
Extras shared between the Blu-ray and DVD boast audio commentary with Peter Billingsley and Clark, original story readings by Jean Shepard (author and voice narrator of 'A Christmas Story'), the "Another Christmas Story" documentary, a pair of featurettes ( "Get a Leg Up," "A History of the Daisy Red Ryder"), "Triple Dog Dare" interactive trivia, a "Decoder Match Challenge" interactive game, additional "Hidden Presents" and the theatrical trailer.
Tech specs include a BD-50 dual-layer presentation with 1080p/VC-1 video and Dolby Digital 5.1 Surround. (At presstime, no high-res audio option has been confirmed, but we'll keep you posted.)
Finally, Warner has issued the final Blu-ray box art for 'A Christmas Story: Ultimate Collector's Edition":

First Look: 'Mist,' '1408' Blu-ray Box Art

With the launch of the their first Blu-ray titles only a month away, the Weinstein Co. has issued a first look at the cover art for 'The Mist' and '1408.'
As first announced last month, Frank Darabont's 'The Mist' will mark the Weinsteins' first Blu-ray release of a theatrical title when it hits stores on August 5. The studio will then follow it up with another hit Stephen King adaptation '1408,' due a little over a month later on September 16.
Tech specs see both 'The Mist' and '1408' receiving BD-50 dual-layer presentations (with 'The Mist' also a two-disc set), with 1080p/AVC MPEG-4 video and Dolby TrueHD 5.1 Surround audio.
Extras will mirror the previous DVD editions, with both films presented in unrated versions and brimming with extras including audio commentary, featurettes, deleted scenes, and more.
Finally, the Weinstein Co. had revealed the final high-res box art for both releases.

First Look: 'Godfather Collection' Blu-ray Box Art

It's one of the most eagerly-anticipated high-def catalog releases ever, and Paramount has now issued the final box art for 'The Godfather Collection' Blu-ray box set.
As reported earlier this week, Paramount and Zoetrope Studios unveiled full specs for 'The Godfather Collection',' an extensive four-disc box set containing all three landmark 'Godfather' films, plus a bonus disc containing hours of supplement content. Paramount will street the set on September 23, day-and-date with a new standard DVD re-issue.
Tech specs include a BD-50 dual-layer presentation for each film, with 1080p video and first-ever high-res audio tracks in English Dolby TrueHD 5.1 Surround.
As announced, extras are extensive, with audio commentaries by Francis Ford Coppola on all three films, multiple featurettes, still galleries, additional scenes, storyboards, trailers and more.
Now, Paramount has revealed the final piece of the 'Godfather' Blu-ray puzzle with a look at the set's final box art:

First Look: 'Transformers' Blu-ray Box Art

The Blu-ray won't arrive until September, but Paramount'/DreamWorks has released a first look at the box art for the Michael Bay blockbuster.
As previously reported, Paramount/DreamWorks set a September 2 Blu-ray bow for 'Transformers,' nearly a year after the HD DVD version became that format's all-time top-seller.
Confirmed specs for the Blu-ray sees a matching set of bonus features, including audio commentary with Bay, a pair of four-part documentaries ("Our World," "Their War"), the "From Script to Sand: The SKORPONOK Desert Attack" featurette, a "Concepts" still gallery, theatrical trailers, and multiple easter eggs.
Although Paramount has yet to detail whether all of the exclusive content found on the HD DVD (including PIP, a GPS tracking feature and more) will be included on the Blu-ray, the studio has confirmed the release will be BD-Live-enabled with exact details to be announced soon.
Tech specs include 1080p video and Dolby TrueHD 5.1 Surround audio -- a bump up from the non-high-res audio Dolby Digital track found on the HD DVD.
Finally, Paramount/DreamWorks has revealed final box art for 'Transformers,' which will also mirror the HD DVD and DVD releases:

Sony Scares Up 'Urban Legend' Specs, Box Art

Full specs and box art are in for 'Urban Legend,' which Sony will debut on Blu-ray this July with Dolby TrueHD audio and a pair of bonus features.
Though first announced last month for Blu-ray release on July 22, Sony stopped short of issuing any specs for the 1998 hit teen slasher flick.
Full details are now in, and the Blu-ray will mirror the previous 1999 DVD release with an audio commentary (by director Jamie Blanks) and a making-of featurette. (All bonus features are presented in standard definition.)
Tech specs include 1080p/AVC MPEG-4 video, Dolby TrueHD 5.1 Surround tracks in English, French and Portuguese, plus Spanish and Thai standard Dolby Digital 5.1 Surround dubs.
Finally, Sony has revealed the final Blu-ray box art for 'Urban Legend,' which replicates the film's original key art:

Specs, Box Art In for '21' Blu-ray

Full specs and box art are in for '21,' which Sony will debut on Blu-ray this July with Dolby TrueHD audio and BD-Java-enabled interactive content.
As the studio first announced last month, the $90 million-grossing box office hit will hit high-def on July 22, day-and-date with single-disc and two-disc DVD editions.
Full details have now been confirmed, and the Blu-ray will enjoy all the same bonus features as the two-disc DVD, including an audio commentary with director Robert Luketic and cast, and a suite of three featurettes ("21: The Advantage Player," "Basic Strategy: A Complete Film Journal," "Money Plays: A Tour of the Good Life").
Exclusive to the Blu-ray will be a BD-Java-enabled interactive game, "Virtual Blackjack."
Just-announced tech specs include 1080p/AVC MPEG-4 video (2.35:1) and Dolby TrueHD 5.1 Surround tracks in English, French, and Portuguese.
Finally, Sony has released the Blu-ray box art for '21':

Paramount Sets Specs, Box Art for 'Beowulf' Blu-ray

Paramount has unveiled final specs for the July Blu-ray debut of 'Beowulf,' which will match the studio's earlier HD DVD release with high-res audio and extensive bonus features.
As we've previously reported, Paramount will unleash the Robert Zemeckis-directed CGI adventure on Blu-ray July 29, nearly six months after first bringing it to HD DVD.
Matching the earlier release spec for spec, the Blu-ray will again present the film in its Director's Cut form, boasting 1080p/VC-1 video and English Dolby TrueHD 5.1 Surround audio.
Extras will include the 16-part documentary "The Making of 'Beowulf,'" plus a dozen deleted scenes, original theatrical trailers, and easter eggs. (All of the bonus content will be presented in full HD.)
Paramount has also confirmed that the Blu-ray edition will feature the "In the Volume" picture-in-picture commentary that was previously exclusive to the HD DVD version, making full use of the Blu-ray format's Bonus View (Profile 1.1) capabilities.
Finally, the studio has released the final Blu-ray box art for 'Beowulf':
