Fox has announced updated details for the Blu-ray release of 'Jumper,' which will now add D-Box to its extras menu.
As previously reported, Fox has set a June 10 street date for the Hayden Christensen teleportation thriller (day-and-date with the standard DVD), and unveiled a complete line-up of specs with hours of extras.
D-Box combines real-life motion control of your home theater seating in sync with the on-screen action, and Fox will now enhance the 'Jumper' Blu-ray to deliver plenty of rumble during the film's famed teleportation and other action scenes.
Previously-announced supplements on the Blu-ray will feature audio commentary (with director Doug Liman, writer-producer Simon Kinberg and producer Lucas Foster), four featurettes ("Jumping From Novel To Film: The Past, Present & Future of Jumper," "Making an Actor Jump," "Doug Liman's Jumper: Uncensored," "Jumping Around The World"), six deleted scenes, "Future Concepts" pre-visuzalizations, and the animated graphic novel "Jumpstart: David's Story."
Exclusive to the Blu-ray will be the picture-in-picture feature "Jumping Around the World," which will make full use of the Blu-ray format's Profile 1.1 capabilities (a Profile 1.1-enabled player required).
Tech specs for the Blu-ray feature 1080p/AVC MPEG-4 video, English 5.1 DTS HD Loss less Master Audio plus English, French and Spanish Dolby 5.1 Surround, and Spanish, Cantonese, Korean, and Mandarin subtitles
As previously announced, Fox has set a suggested retail price of $39.98 for the Blu-ray.

Giving a rump-shaking boost to their next-gen support, Disney has pacted with D-Box to add the company's motion-code technology to its Blu-ray menu.

"This is a very special time for D-Box, as our technology will be used by another one of the largest movie studios worldwide," said Claude Mc Master, President and Chief Executive Officer of D-Box Technologies. "We are very proud of having Walt Disney Studios Home Entertainment on board as it will undoubtedly accelerate the penetration of our technology worldwide and will significantly enhance our efforts to become a world standard in the entertainment industry."
Disney will kick off its support of D-Box with its upcoming Blu-ray title, 'The Game Plan,' due January 22, 2008. The studio has not yet announced further D-Box-enhanced Blu-ray releases, but as always, we'll keep you posted.
