Fox Home Entertainment has announced its latest classic for Blu-ray release, setting a mid-June date for 'The Diary of Anne Frank.'
Considered harrowing at the time of its original release in 1959, the first (and to many, still the best) big-screen adaptation of the widely read book, will make its Blu-ray debut on June 16.
Tech specs will see a BD-50 dual-layer disc with /AVC MPEG-4 video (2.35:1) with a DTS-HD Lossless Master Audio 5.1 Surround track.
There are no supplements announced as yet, but with Fox having previously-released a feature-laden special edition DVD, we expect a comparable package. Stay tuned.
Suggested retail price for the Blu-ray has been set at $29.99.
