'The Crazies' Announced for Blu-ray

George A Romero's original 1973 cult classic will be getting the high-definition treatment this February.
Blue Underground will bring the horror film 'The Crazies (1973)' to Blu-ray on February 23.
Technical specs have yet to be announced, but supplements will include an Audio Commentary with Director George A. Romero; The Cult Film Legacy of Lynn Lowry – Interview with Star Lynn Lowry; Theatrical Trailers; and TV Spots.
Suggested list price for the Blu-ray has been set at $29.99.

Original 'Toolbox Murders' Announced for Blu-ray

Blue Underground will throw a monkey wrench into the high-definition market when the cult horror 'Toolbox Murders' hits Blu-ray early next year.
The Blu-ray will be available on January 25 and will feature 1080p video, likely a lossless audio track (still unconfirmed), and supplements will include: Audio Commentary with Producer Tony DiDio, Director of Photography Gary Graver and Star Pamelyn Ferdin; I Got Nailed In THE TOOLBOX MURDERS – Interview with Star Marianne Walter; Theatrical Trailer; TV Spot; and Radio Spots.
Suggested list price for the Blu-ray is still unknown at this time.

Blue Underground will bring the romantic Australian drama 'My Brilliant Career' starring Judy Davis and Sam Neill to high-definition later this year.
The Blu-ray (available on November 24) will feature 1080p/VC-1 video, a lossless DTS-HD Master Audio 7.1 soundtrack, and supplements will include: Audio Commentary with Director Gillian Armstrong; Interview with Director Gillian Armstrong; Interview with Producer Margaret Fink; Cannes Film Festival Premiere Featuring Star Judy Davis, Director Gillian Armstrong and Producer Margaret Fink; The Miles Franklin Story; and Theatrical Trailers.

'Fire and Ice' Coming to Blu-ray

Blue Underground has announced its latest catalog release for next-gen, bringing the 1983 cult favorite 'Fire and Ice' to Blu-ray in late-August.
Billed as a "once in the lifetime collaboration" between legendary animators Ralph Bakshi and Frank Frazetta, 'Fire and Ice' failed to achieve the same box office heights as their previous efforts (which included 'Fritz the Cat,' 'Wizards' and 'Conan the Barbarian'), though it has gained a sizable cult following over the past two decades.
Blue Underground will give the film it's debut high-def release, setting an August 25 street date for the Blu-ray.
Tech specs will see 1080p/AVC MPEG-4 video (1.85:1) and audio tracks in DTS-HD Lossless Master Audio 7.1 Surround and Dolby TrueHD 7.1 Surround.
Extras include audio commentary with Bakshi, a pair of featurettes ("The Making of Fire and Ice," "Bakshi on Frazetta"), still galleries and the theatrical trailer.
Suggested retail price for the Blu-ray has been set at $34.95.

'Bad Boy Bubby' Bounces to Blu-ray in July

Blue Underground will bring the cult classic 'Bad Boy Bubby' to Blu-ray this July.
In director Rolf De Heer’s winner of The Grand Jury Special Prize at the Venice Film Festival, Nicholas Hope stars as Bubby –-a demented man-child locked in his apartment by his overprotective mother for thirty-five years who finally escapes to the outside world.
The disc (releasing July 28) will feature 1080p video, lossless audio in both DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 as well as Dolby TrueHD 5.1, and a few bonus features including: “Christ Kid, You're A Weirdo - Interview with Director Rolf De Heer,” “Being Bubby - Interview with Star Nicholas Hope,” “Confessor Caressor - Short Film Starring Nicholas Hope,” and the “Theatrical Trailer.”

Bruce Lee's 'Circle of Iron' Coming to Blu-ray

Blue Underground has announced their latest cult classic for Blu-ray, bringing Bruce Lee's 'Circle of Iron' to the format in mid-May.
Based on an original story by the martial arts master and completed five years after his death, 'Circle of Iron' stars David Carradine, Christopher Lee and Roddy McDowall in a tale of mysticism and martial arts.
Blue Underground will release the cult favorite on Blu-ray May 19.
Tech specs will see a BD-50 dual-layer presentation with 1080p/AVC MPEG-4 video and 7.1 Surround tracks in both DTS-HD Lossless Master Audio and Dolby TrueHD.
Extras include audio commentary with director Richard Moore, three interview featurettes ("Playing the Silent Flute," "The Producer," "Karate Master"), an additional audio interview with co-screenwriter Stirling Silliphant, and theatrical trailers and TV spots.
Suggested retail price for the Blu-ray has been set at $34.95.

'Fast Company' Careens Onto Blu-ray

Blue Underground has announced its latest cult film release, setting a late-April Blu-ray date for 'Fast Company.'
An early 1979 effort from David Cronenberg, 'Fast Company' stars William Smith, John Saxon, and the late Claudia Jennings in a tale of the fast company and crazy lives and loves of a group of stock car racers.
Blue Underground will give the cult fave its Blu-ray debut on April 28 (the company previously released a special edition DVD version in 2004).
Tech specs will see a BD-50 dual-layer disc with 1080p/AVC MPEG-4 video and audio options in English DTS-HD Lossless Master Audio 7.1 Surround and English Dolby TrueHD 7.1 Surround.
Among the extensive bonus features is audio commentary with Cronenberg, a pair of featurettes ("Inside the Character Actor's Studio," "Shooting Cronenberg"), two early Cronenberg short films ("Stereo" and "Crimes of the Future") and the theatrical trailer.
