'Mr. Hockey: The Gordie Howe Story' Wal-Mart Exclusive Blu-ray Announced

The true story of the hockey legend will arrive on Blu-ray exclusively at Wal-Mart stores next month.

In an early announcement to retailers, Arc Entertainment will be releasing 'Mr. Hockey: The Gordie Howe Story' on Blu-ray exclusively at Wal-Mart on May 7, with a retailer wide release planned for July 9.

Hockey great Gordie Howe retired after 25 winning seasons with the Detroit Red Wings. But he realized that retirement just didn't work for him. When his son's were drafted to the Houston Aeros, he came out of retirement to join the team He was written off by many, who thought he was too old to be playing competitively. Through hard work, perseverance, and the loving support of his wife and family, he and his sons managed to prove the critics wrong by winning several championships for the team.

Specs, supplements, and suggested list price for the Blu-ray are still undetermined at this time.

'Red Dog' Blu-ray Announced

The feel-good drama based on a true story comes to Blu-ray this November.

In an early announcement to retailers, Arc Entertainment is working on 'Red Dog' for Blu-ray on November 6.

In the tradition of 'Lassie,' and adapted from the Louis de Bernieres best-selling novel, 'Red Dog' is based on a true story. In this warm-hearted story, Red Dog becomes a legend with the wild outback locals. Along the way, Red Dog finds the person he's been searching for...Sometimes you pick the dog. Sometimes the dog picks you!

Specs and supplements have yet to be revealed, but suggested list price for the Blu-ray is $24.99.

The post-apocalyptic thriller from producer Roland Emmerich will try to survive on Blu-ray in August.

In an early announcement to retailers, Arc Entertainment will send Blu-ray to 'Hell' on August 21.

It was once the source of life, light and warmth. But now the sun has turned the entire world into baked and barren wasteland. Forests are scorched. Animal carcasses line the roads. Even the nights are dazzling bright. Marie, her little sister Leonie and Phillip are heading for the mountains in a car with covered windows. Rumor has it there is still water there. Along the way they run into Tom, a first-rate mechanic that becomes indispensible. But can they trust him? Tension grows in the small group. As if things weren´t bad enough, they are lured into an ambush. Their real battle for survival begins...

Isaac Florentine's latest action thriller is on target for Blu-ray in August.

In an early announcement to retailers, Arc Entertainment has set 'Assassin's Bullet' for Blu-ray on August 14.

When an unknown vigilante begins killing high-priority terrorists from America’s Most Wanted list in Europe, a former FBI field agent (Christian Slater) is brought in by the US Ambassador (Donald Sutherland) to discover the identity of the assassin.

Specs have yet to be revealed, but supplements will include: Behind the Scenes in Sofia, The Making of Assassin's Bullet, and Theatrical Trailer.

Suggested list price for the Blu-ray is $26.99.

'Killing Bono' is a rock n’ roll comedy about two Irish brothers struggling to forge their path through the 1980’s music scene… whilst the meteoric rise to fame of their old school pals U2 only serves to cast them deeper into the shadows.

Matt Russell's feel-good drama will arrive on Blu-ray next week.

In an announcement to retailers, Arc Entertainment will be bringing 'Seven Days in Utopia' to Blu-ray on June 5.

'Seven Days In Utopia' follows the story of Luke Chisolm (Lucas Black), a talented young golfer set on making the pro tour. When his first big shot turns out to be a very public disaster, Luke escapes the pressures of the game and finds himself unexpectedly stranded in Utopia, Texas, home to eccentric rancher Johnny Crawford (Robert Duvall). But Johnny's more than meets the eye, and his profound ways of looking at life force Luke to question not only his past choices, but his direction for the future.

'Age of the Dragons' Announced for Blu-ray

Captain Ahab will be hunting a great white dragon (you read that right: dragon) on Blu-ray this July.

In an early announcement to retailers, Arc Entertainment is preparing 'Age of the Dragons' for Blu-ray on July 24.

'Age of the Dragons' is an adaptation of Herman Melville's classic novel Moby Dick. Set in a medieval realm where Captain Ahab and crew hunt dragons for the vitriol that powers their world, Ishmael, a charismatic harpooner and his friend Queequeg join their quest. Ahab's adopted daughter Rachel, beautiful and tough, runs the hunting vessel. Ahab's obsession to seek revenge on a great White Dragon that slaughtered his family when he was young and left his body scarred and mauled, drives the crew deeper into the heart of darkness. In the White Dragon's lair Ahab's Secrets are revealed and Rachel must choose between following him on his dark quest or escaping to a new life with Ishmael.

The winner of Best Documentary at the 2011 British Independent Film Awards will be racing to Blu-ray in July.

In an early announcement to retailers, Arc Entertainment is readying 'Senna' for Blu-ray on July 10.

Directed by Asif Kapadia, the acclaimed documentary covers the life and tragic death of Brazilian motor-racing champion Ayrton Senna -- who is considered by many to be the greatest race car driver of all time.

The story centers on a group of strangers trapped in a time warp house where a terrible event transpired exactly 100 years prior.
