Sony Unleashes 'Hellboy' on Blu-ray

Sony Pictures Home Entertainment has announced a June 5 release for 'Hellboy,' Guillermo Del Toro's 2004 film adaptation of the comic book cult classic.
Though it grossed only $50 million domestically, the film has gone on to become one of Sony's biggest catalog successes on DVD, which could bode well for this Blu-ray release.
The studio has already released the film in multiple configurations on disc, including a very extensive three-disc set, including an extended unrated cut.
Sony has yet to announce specs for the title, so we can only hope that at least some of the multiple extras from previous editions make it to Blu-ray.
The only detail currently known is the disc's $28.95 list price; stay tuned for further details in the days ahead.
We've added a new listing for 'Hellboy' to our Blu-ray Release Schedule, under June 5.
