After a delay of nearly nine months, Fox has alerted retailers that 'Man on Fire' will finally hit Blu-ray in early January.
As we originally reported back in January, Fox first teased fans with its plans to release 'Man on Fire' on Blu-ray at CES, scheduling the title for a May next-gen debut. Those plans were [post472]quickly scrapped however, with the studio ultimately canceling most of its early 2007 Blu-ray release schedule before disappearing into a months-long high-def hibernation.
Now, following Fox's re-emergence on the next-gen scene this fall, 'Man on Fire' has at last been rescheduled for Blu-ray release, with retailers having just received word of a January 8 street date.
Given the early nature of the announcement, there are no tech specs or supplemental info for the title just yet, but we do expect official details to follow shortly.
In anticipation of a full announcement, you'll find preliminary disc details for 'Man on Fire' linked from our Blu-ray Release Schedule, where it's indexed under January 8, 2008.
